Dr. Ankita Baidya did her training in Infectious Diseases from the All India Institute of Medical sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India. She has also done training in D.M. Infectious diseases medicine in Detroit Medical Centre (Detroit), United States, with special interest in transplant and HIV related infection. She has gained vast experience in diagnosing and treating infectious Diseases during her experience in AIIMS, New Delhi, the premier institute in the country.
She has the expertise in diagnosing and treating tuberculosis, irrespective of the site involvement (DSTB, DRTB), HIV, fever including Dengue, Malaria, typhoid and other common viral and bacterial infections. She specializes in treatment of prolonged fever, chronic bone infection, chronic liver infections, infective endocarditis ( infection if heart valves), brain infections, etc.
She has also worked extensively in immunocompromised patients like transplant related infections, infections in cancer patients, patients receiving steroids, etc. .The experience in the field, she has also gained from working in AIIMS, New Delhi, & while her training in USA.
Dr. Baidya is the active member of various national & international societies like ECCMID( Europe), IDSA (USA), ASM (USA), IAMM ( India).In the year 2013, she got the sponsored invitation from ASM society USA to attend the ICAAC international meeting on antimicrobial agents and chemotherapy. She has many publications in the field of infectious diseases, where she has shared her experience in diagnosing and treating difficult and rare infections.
